The person behind the songs
People are stories.
“The same thing, just with more reverb.”
I spent years studying how people think, hurt, and make sense of the mess. Eventually I realized I didn’t only want to analyze stories — I wanted to tell them. Sometimes a three-minute song can do what an hour in a clinical setting cannot: get straight to the feeling.
Music was always close. I grew up on my mother’s piano, then built a DIY studio from whatever I could find, including a Samsung phone and a slightly unreasonable number of microphones.
These days, I write, sing, play guitar and bass, mix, and master from home in Monterrey. The studio is also a family room. My wife Meli is the first audience, my daughters are the toughest A&R team, and the toys occasionally make it into the frame.
